Second Thoughts (Of You)

Love, my dearest love!

I am writing this letter to you today to reiterate my love for you.  We have gone through our share of ups and downs in the last eight years, but I never will again have the courage to face trials and tribulations without you by my side.  The strength and godliness and beauty that you possess and abide in has continually been where I return for inspiration, encouragement, and rejuvenation.

You are truly a precious gem to behold.  Not to be added to some worthless collection of material riches, for you, my dear, are irreplaceable.  You have the highest place in my world and in my heart, unbeknownst to you, where I can return time and time again to gaze upon overwhelming beauty.

I have had second thoughts about you and so much more.  Honestly, I have had numerous dreams and visions about your or your place in my life.  However, I have never had second thoughts about my having married you.  My dear, my friendship and relationship with you evolved into my desire to marry you because I thought to myself: “Where else am I going to find another one like her?”  The brilliance that settles into your magnificent beauty and intelligence still stops me in my tracks.  Time and time again, your wisdom and charity strikes me in such a way that, if I had not known you, I would suggest that you are otherworldly.  A celestial being, perhaps, here to enlighten me and deliver me to a love that is found in only God Himself.  An Agape Love (godly love) that has sought to brighten my existence.  Thank you for turning toward this love and thank you for desiring to give it to me.

“What manner of love is this?”  I have thought this question to myself.  This divine creature wants to show me something that is a part of her essence, while revealing to me that I can make it my own.

With allure, such as this, how could I dare to think of turning from this radiant beauty, with a nature that is so magical and mystical?  I understand that you are not perfect, but you see, even your imperfections are insignificant since you desire to live and sup with the Divine.

Praise be to God Almighty for you, my dearest Love!

Yours truly in love,

Jerome
